Welcome! My name is James Redder - the Founder and Editor of ForeignLanguageSoftwareReviews.com. I first became acquainted with Rocket language courses back in 2007. Until then, I never heard about them even though they are the most popular foreign language software providers on the market. To be completely honest with you, I’m not a big fan of educational software but for some reason Rocket foreign software offerings fascinated me.

The owners of the company have been in the software business for decades and know there stuff. Even more important is that they utilized subject matter experts (SME) for each of their unique language offerings. Rarely do you find something like this in the software industry. I was so fascinated by it that I spent a great deal of time learning more about it.

At the end of the day regardless of whose software you choose to go with you will still have to put in the requisite time. With the Rocket software that number can “potentially” be substantially smaller because of the quality of the software and the included forum access. You’ll notice I said it has the “potential” to shorten the learning time. The reality is, there is no silver bullet when it comes to learning. However, studies would suggest that multi-sensory teaching will always be more effective then one that just relies on one sense to get it done. The rocket software is mult-sensory with a feedback mechanism (i.e. MegaAudio software) built in.

As in all things you need to be an informed consumer before you purchase foreign language software or courses to avoid being scammed. You don’t want to throw your money away or put yourself at risk by taking inferior products that might not give you the results you were seeking. While this site has a definite Rocket software weight to it I will from time to time review other worthy software offerings.
