Can Software Really Help With Learning Another Language?

If you are seeking to learn a foreign language quickly I think we can all agree that if there were no financial constraints then the very best way to do this would be Immersion. Immersion is the process where you go live among people who don’t speak any or very little of your native language and of course they speak the native language you want to learn. This forces you to pick up not just the basic language itself quickly but even some of the subtleties that can’t be taught by a non native teacher of the language. The reason this works so well is that you have a very strong motivation to communicate just to get your basic needs met and it involves all of your senses. The biggest drawback is that it’s expensive in terms of time and money. The next best alternative is to engage the senses using foreign language software created for this purpose. This can allow you to quickly pick up a foreign language because you are learning it involving all of your senses.
